Welcome to Sewing by Elizabeth! Please enjoy browsing my portfolio. Here you will find pictures of my past projects for historic balls, reenactments, and modern wear. The purpose of my sewing is to glorify God by making clothes that are elegant, excellent, and modest. If you need an outfit for that special event, alterations, or custom clothes that fit, send me an e-mail. Thank you for visiting, and have a lovely day!
Featured Projects
- I made this gown for my mother for the Pride and Prejudice ball. Drafted especially for her, the pattern and design were chosen to highlight the lovely design woven into the border of this fabric. You can see more pictures and details on my Regency page.
- Pictures from the wedding are now up! Definitely on a grand scale, this wedding party had nine bridesmaids and two flower girls, all in silk. We had some trouble with shipping; the lace arrived six weeks before the wedding. All total, I had twenty-five days to sew. For more pictures, please go to my Dresses and Formals page. Photographs of the wedding are courtesy of Todd Sullivan and Jimmy Dornan. JimmyDornan.smugmug.com
